The master is not without responsibility. He may be given the power to control the life of his slave, but in doing so he does take on several responsibilities.
1. First and foremost he must keep the well being of his slave in mind with everything he does with her.(Both physical and mental health of the slave is in his hands.)
2. He has the responsibility to provide her with the satisfaction with regards to sexual and daily life.
3. He is also responsible for providing the support and care needed by the slave. This includes the after play care and meeting her emotional needs.
4. His responsibilities also require him to develop a consistency and stable home life for the slave so she knows exactly what is expected of her.
5. He holds the responsibility to ensure she understands everything in the contract in the beginning and to ensure that her limits, expectations and what she wants is spelled out clearly in the contract.
6. Has to be able to compromise his desire with what the slave is willing to give whether it is at the time the contract is drawn up or even after years of service. It does happen that life’s stresses and circumstances can cause some things that she would usually take in stride can be beyond her mental emotional or physical ability to deal with at a given moment.
7. Must be able to give his slave a safe word and honor it. (A safe word is a chosen word that if uttered by a slave the master will stop what he is doing and redirect the play or other activity.
These are a few of the major things to be aware of but in no way a complete list. Another important subject a master should be knowledgeable about is the dynamics of self. A submissive is capable of giving up most of themselves to their master however there is a core of the self that should never be changed, altered or slandered as it is a very basic center of a human’s identity, and physiological being. This core self is where the appeal of a person is and contains the characteristics, beliefs, and personality of the person. The simple logic of why to leave the core self alone in a slave is there is an attraction, something that draws the master to the slave and why would one wish to change that?
As a master everything in the structuring of a slaves routines and play should be carefully considered and should be executed with precision to ensure that the relationship and development of the slave goes in the proper direction. This will insure a consistency that will provide a slave that is satisfying and productive to meeting your expectations as a master.
